Patient Financial Counselors Now Available

Help with Bills, Benefits, and Financial Assistance

Understanding healthcare costs and insurance coverage can feel overwhelming. Christ Community Health Services now has dedicated Patient Financial Counselors on staff to help you understand your options, get answers to billing questions, and explore financial assistance.

Whether you have insurance, are looking for coverage, or need help paying for care, our counselors can guide you through the next steps.

How Patient Financial Counselors Can Help

Our counselors work with you to understand your situation and identify available options. They can:

  • Provide upfront price estimates for procedures and services so you can better prepare for the cost of care.
  • Explain insurance options, including Medicaid and Marketplace eligibility, and help you explore other coverage opportunities.
  • Guide you through our Sliding Fee Discount Program, explain which documents are accepted as proof of income, and help you complete the application.
  • Help arrange payment plans or discounted care if you qualify.
  • Answer billing questions and help resolve coverage issues before they lead to unexpected costs or delays.

When to Ask for Help

You can ask to speak with a Patient Financial Counselor at the time of your visit, whether you are arriving for a scheduled appointment or have already begun receiving care.

You do not have to wait until a bill becomes a concern. Asking questions early can help you understand your costs and available assistance.
