Christ Community Health Services has received a New Access Point grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care to extend health care services to East Jackson, Tennessee.

The grant, worth $650,000 annually, gives community health centers opportunities to expand primary-care services to medically under-served and rural communities.

Christ Community will operate out of a clinic currently owned by the Faith Health Center. It plans to open late this year.

It will be ninth location in Christ Community's network and the first outside Shelby County.
