Care & Treatment
Christ Community receives funding for HIV services through the Ryan White Part A Program and has been designated by the Tennessee Department of Health as a Center of Excellence for HIV/AIDS Care since 2008.. This includes outpatient/ambulatory services, oral health services, behavioral health services, medical case management, pharmaceutical assistance, food assistance and medical transportation.
We offer HIV medical care, case management, and support services at all 7 of our primary care centers. Our Women's Health Center also offers prenatal/obstetric care to women infected with HIV. Selected sites have recently begun to offer Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for the prevention of HIV infection.
One of our goals is to combat HIV-related stigma within our communities by partnering with local churches for HIV education and linkage to care."
As a federally designated Ryan White Center of Excellence, Christ Community Health Services provides medical care and supportive services to people who have been diagnosed with HIV and/or AIDS. CCHS’ Specialty Care Program exists to provide high quality health care to persons infected with HIV/AIDS. This program will identify and address the needs of the whole person to improve their quality of life and the special needs of this community of individuals. Not only does the Specialty Care Program seek to help improve the quality of life of individuals diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, the program also seeks to help decrease stigma in the community through education and awareness.
