The Behavioral Health Training Program at Christ Community Health Services (CCHS) purpose is to train graduate students in the field of counseling, clinical social work and psychology in faith integrative, evidence informed skills of integrative primary care and health psychology while serving underserved communities of Memphis, Tennessee and the surrounding areas. We welcome master's equipped and doctoral practicum students to apply for rotations across all of our Memphis clinics.
Practicum includes opportunities to participate in evidence-based clinical psychology and primary care mental health interventions. Applications are required to be submitted 60 days prior to the intended start date for all behavioral health rotations, including shadowing. Due to the vast number of applications for only a limited number of slots, we regret that we are unable to accommodate every student who applies.
NOTE: Post-doctoral fellows--please contact us directly to discuss specific opportunities/accommodations.

Additionally, Interns will have opportunity to choose a “minor” rotation (two shifts/ or 8 hours a week) every three months allowing specific training in a chosen area of specialized training which could include Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, HIV Care, Women’s Health, Refugee/Immigrant Care, Parenting Support, Medication Assisted Therapy for Opiates, or learn Trauma Focused Family Interventions at a partner organization.
